How We Work

Support Patient Safety

Sterile processing technicians play an important role in ensuring healthcare practitioners have access to sterilized and disinfected medical equipment. This requires instrument identification and handling knowledge, as well as an understanding of infection control and prevention procedures. Sterile processing professionals must also be aware of regulatory compliance and standards, quality assurance and safety processes, and inventory management strategies.

This series provides the online and clinical instruction your workforce requires for the role of sterile processing technician. Throughout this 16-week series, learners gain the education and skills needed to perform this critical healthcare role.
